Barrels are useful for putting liquids and compost in. You can make dirt, NetherRack, SoulSand and EndStone from them.  They will hold liquids such as water, liquid force,witch water and lava.

Right-clicking on a barrel while holding ingredients will insert it into the barrel, while right clicking with your hand will eject finished products, if any.

A Better Barrel is used for Storage; it has a limit of 64 stacks of blocks, 1 stack for tools!

Wood BarrelEdit

Wood Barrels come in four different colours, these stylish barrels hold many uses for crafting. While it can hold lava, doing so is highly dangerous.

Requires 6 wooden planks and a wooden slab to make a wooden barrel.

Stone BarrelEdit

Stone barrels serve as an upgrade to the standard wooden ones, in that they can hold lava without burning to a crisp. Requires 6 stone blocks and a stone slab to make.

Pouring water over a lava-filled barrel creates obsidian.

Adding redstone to a lava-filled barrel creates netherrack.

Adding glowstone dust to a lava-filled barrel creates endstone.

Composting Edit

Creates Dirt Blocks

Trees :- Saplings, leaves from Oak,Spruce,Birch,Jungle, Rubber, Silkworms AND Silk/String, Apples,Vines.

Mob Drops:- Rotten Flesh, Spider Eyes, String, Beef, Chicken, Pork, Eggs, Fish.

Farming item:- Wheat, Dandelions, Roses, Brown Mushrooms, Carrots, Potatoes, Poison Potatoes, Sugar Cane, Tall grass, Nether Wart, Melons, Pumpkins, Cactus, Lily pads, 

Crafted items :- Baked Potatoes,     

Mossing Edit

It is also possible to make Mossy Stone Bricks and Mossy Cobblestone by placing normal Stone Bricks or Cobblestone near a Wood Barrel filled with water.

Mushrooms Edit

A barrel of water adjacent to Mycelium in a dark place will grow mushrooms which can be tricky to find in a world without caves.
